Mianus River Park

Located to the west of New Canaan in Stamford and Greenwich, Mianus River Park stretches for nearly 400 acres along the picturesque Mianus River. The park maintains a number of trails that wind through the wilderness, leaving hikers with ample options.

Devil’s Den Preserve

The Nature Conservancy operates this 1,756-acre preserve, the largest of its type in Fairfield County. Hikers come to Devil’s Den for the combined 20 miles of trails on the Redding and Weston sides of the border.

Pequonnock River Valley State Park

The blue trail at Trumbull’s Pequonnock River Valley State Park takes hikers on a path along the Pequonnock River. Visitors may also access the 16-mile linear trail, which runs through the park and extends all the way from Bridgeport to Monroe.
